This is a later Dr. Martens booth. The booth I worked on was a double-decker, completely open in the front, with a small stage for an acoustic band.

BACKGROUND

When I worked as PR/Promotions Coordinator and Manager at Dr. Martens, the footwear company, we exhibited at several shows per year, including:

  • World Shoe Associates (now WSA@MAGIC)

  • MAGIC

  • Outdoor Retailer

  • Various regional shows

 

CHALLENGE

At WSA, to position Dr. Martens as a cutting-edge, youthful, fashion-forward brand in tune with the latest music trends.

 

SOLUTION

I hand-crafted an eye-catching PR display made of foam core, leather, wire mesh, rivets, and other pieces of metal; designed website kiosks; sourced booth decor to mimic a music club.

 

RESULTS

Our booth won the “Best of Show” award at WSA, the largest U.S. footwear trade exhibition.
